Sandra Céspedes U., Ph.D., P.Eng.

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. I lead the WiNet Research Group, which works on wireless and mobile networking, from constrained IoT devices to direct-to-satellite and interplanetary communications.

I received my Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo (2012). Before joining Concordia in 2022, I was an Assistant and later Associate Professor at Universidad de Chile, where I founded WiNet in 2014, and Head of Research at NIC Chile Research Labs (2018–2021).
